I grew up surrounded by the beautiful luster of silk in my grandfather's kimono shop.
When my grandfather passed away in 2023, he entrusted me with his precious collection, which he had amassed over his lifetime. These were the finest "pure silks" that had been carefully preserved since the Showa era, never once worn. They are breathtakingly beautiful treasures, imbued with the craftsmanship of Japan.

Today, kimonos are gradually drifting further away from our daily lives.
However, I believe that tradition is not something to be displayed in a museum. To truly connect it to the future, we need to evolve it into a form that we can genuinely enjoy today. That is why I have transformed the kimonos my grandfather loved into hair jewelry that complements modern lifestyles.
